About the Author
Phyllis Jean Sedgwick Flowers, M.A. retired as a United Methodist Minister from the New
Mexico Conference and lived until her death in Nashville, Tennessee. Mother of three
children, Erin, Kerwin and Kyle, she lost her eldest, Erin, who died before turning age
twenty in 1983.
This anthology of her daughter’s writings is the result of two decades of work, a labor of
love dedicated to Erin’s memory.
Phyllis Jean Sedgwick Flowers, M.A. retired as a United Methodist Minister from the New
Mexico Conference and lived until her death in Nashville, Tennessee. Mother of three
children, Erin, Kerwin and Kyle, she lost her eldest, Erin, who died before turning age
twenty in 1983.
